IοΏ½οΏ½ve used it on a few pieces of jewelry and my reading glasses, and while it doesnοΏ½οΏ½t give that professional jeweler-level shine, it definitely improves the appearance and removes built-up grime.One thing I noticed is that using the included basket seems to lessen the cleaning power. After a few uses, I stopped using the basket entirely and just placed items directly in the tank (carefully), which noticeably improved the results. We also picked up a mild jewelry cleaning solution to mix with the water, which helped enhance the sparkle.Overall, it works as advertised and is useful for regular home maintenance of small accessories. Just be aware of the limitationsοΏ½οΏ½itοΏ½οΏ½s not a substitute for professional ultrasonic equipment, but for the price, itοΏ½οΏ½s a handy little tool.
Even though, I have been familiar with ultrasonic technology for a long time. This was my first ultrasonic cleaning machine. I didn't need one and I felt content with my routine, but effective cleaning regimen. Since I enjoy making and collecting Jewelry, I have acquired quite a collection over the years. My expectation was for this machine to efficiently and effectively clean my jewelry pieces in less time than I could do it myself. When I took it out of the box, one of the little rubber feet on the bottom popped off, I had to find it and put it back on. It's really lightweight, but it's durable. I followed the instructions provided, but the first couple of cleanings were disappointing. After using it multiple times and trying out the different settings, I found that using hot water with a few drops of dish soap made a huge difference in the cleaning results. The instructions recommended room temperature tap water, but my cleaning results were not good. I could have done better washing everything by hand, I also used distilled water instead of tap water. I didn't want my hard water contaminating my jewelry pieces. I'm uncertain if that helped the effectiveness of the cleaning machine, but I think it does. Anyway, if I hadn't made those changes, I would have had a poor review. This little appliance does pack a punch when cleaning if used correctly. I would recommend it.

Works real good with newer, not too tarnished, gold & silver jewelry. Instructions do not say to soak older more tarnished items in the soap solution. We experimented with those items by cleaning 2 to 3 cycles. It helps alot! So we will soak future extra tarnished items for 30 to 60 min. in the future.
