Even though, I have been familiar with ultrasonic technology for a long time. This was my first ultrasonic cleaning machine. I didn't need one and I felt content with my routine, but effective cleaning regimen. Since I enjoy making and collecting Jewelry, I have acquired quite a collection over the years. My expectation was for this machine to efficiently and effectively clean my jewelry pieces in less time than I could do it myself. When I took it out of the box, one of the little rubber feet on the bottom popped off, I had to find it and put it back on. It's really lightweight, but it's durable. I followed the instructions provided, but the first couple of cleanings were disappointing. After using it multiple times and trying out the different settings, I found that using hot water with a few drops of dish soap made a huge difference in the cleaning results. The instructions recommended room temperature tap water, but my cleaning results were not good. I could have done better washing everything by hand, I also used distilled water instead of tap water. I didn't want my hard water contaminating my jewelry pieces. I'm uncertain if that helped the effectiveness of the cleaning machine, but I think it does. Anyway, if I hadn't made those changes, I would have had a poor review. This little appliance does pack a punch when cleaning if used correctly. I would recommend it.
This thing is great for cleaning pretty much anything. It does quick work of jewelry cleaning but I mostly uses it for my glasses. This really helps me get all the dirt and grim off my glasses. It does have several different time increments. From what I can tell, you cannot set it to a specific time you want. You have to just use what it given to you. The max I have seen is eight minutes or so. I usually have this set so I can get the most out of the cleaning. It does heat up the water from the constant vibration so expect it to fog up the top of the case when it is closed. There is not seal or latch at the top so if you happen to tip it it will spill out. The hinge is really strong so it takes a little bit of an effort to open or close. I have not seen it loosen up since having it. The power cable is your standard length. It does have different modes from intermittent vibration to just constant vibration. It does have a line inside to show you the max fill line. It also has a plastic holder you can put your jewelry or glasses into so you can easily pull them out whenever. It does a good job with cleaning. By the end of the cleaning, I could see all the grim and debris floating in the water. When disposing of the water, it is just a simple pour out. It does not hinder the electronics inside. The inside is rust proof so all you need to do is just air dry or wipe it down. I just wipe it down and it is fairly easy to clean. The controls are pretty straight forward. There are only two buttons which is setting the time you want and the mode you want to be in. Again you cannot set the exact time you may want. It is already preset and you must select the present. The device does get warm when it is in use but nothing hot. The same goes for the water although it is recommend to use warm water and mild soap for certain cleans (use your best judgement). It is not entirely quiet. It sounds like a shocking noise every time it is on so be aware of that. The silver design is nice and it is not too heavy so you can easily move and store it as needed. Overall this is a good ultrasonic cleaner to have. It is a limited space but it has done GREAT work with cleaning a bunch of my stuff. It did a great job in cleaning my glasses to even my small hose attachment for my mini carpet cleaner. It is pretty powerful and does the job.
I've had mine about a year and a half. I use it weekly to clean my ring, and Fitbit band. I'm pretty happy with it. It gets a lot of dirt out. My lid broke within the first couple of months. But that doesn't seem to effect how well it cleans. I normally put a small amount of dawn and run for 2 cycles.
I purchased the Ukoke UUC06S for cleaning vape gear and I have to say, it is incredibly affordable for how effective it is. While it is larger than I really need, I doubt that I would get a better result with a more expensive cleaner.Cleaning the parts of vape pods (including carefully deconstructed single use only pods) can be messy and largely ineffective by hand. The best vape pods IMO use ceramic coils, and using other methods really just cleans the surface. An ultrasonic cleaner however is able to clean the salt, oil and other vape liquids from the inside out as it is able to penetrate the permeable ceramic. While I have not had my UUCO65 for very long, I was actually surprised at how well it worked. Even visually, the effect is noticeable as the ceramic coil (which acts as a filter) is black before cleaning - even if not "burned" after multiple uses or when used with little or no liquid. After cleaning the coils, the ceramic is a light gray...which is essentially restored to new. The visual difference was less surprising than use as even the most burned and usable were restored to a vaping experience that was as fresh as using a brand new coil. A couple of photos have been included to show the difference between a ceramic coil assembly before cleaning beside one that has been cleaned. There is a dramatic difference. At first, I did make a mistake of not completely deconstructing every component. That was clear when using a Qtip test to test the effectiveness and there was still gunk and oils and black residue. After deconstructing to the tiniest pieces, the Qtip test came back completely clean. So what cleaning solution to use for vape products? Being health conscious, I would not suggest anything other than hot water. Bottled water would likely be best, but in regions with high water quality standards, tap water is fine as well. Literally anything else - including Dove dishwashing liquid - could inject chemicals or byproducts into the items you are cleaning...which is a risk I'm not willing to take and could not recommend. What is the cleaning process? For me, before fully deconstructing, it didn't matter how many 480 second cycles as it did not clean the core parts. After deconstructing to the tiniest component, two 480 second cycles did the trick...although one cycle may have been enough for more mildly used components. What would I improve? For such tiny components including rubber plugs and o-rings, plastic and metal pieces, the holes in the tray for the UUCO6S are really too big. I ended up using some tiny mesh bags to address this concern and it did not have an impact on cleaning performance. Here is an example of the mesh bags that I used https://www.amazon.com/Pandahall-Organza-Drawstring-Jewelry-1-96x2-75/dp/B00UJ1XESK/ref=sr_1_3I am a real consumer looking for a solution for issues, and I was not compensated in any way to write this review. Keep in mind, this is only a review for the first week of owning and using this product, so will post a long-term update down the road.
